Stop the bullying and create a hero with Bluebonnet book

Posted on Updated on

As a lesson to introduce character traits, read the new Bluebonnet nominated book, Hero. Students will love an activity listed on the Bluebonnet committee site that allow small groups to create life size characters and label them with superhero traits. In their journals, I would have them answer the question: How would your superhero traits create a better world? Add a center with the free iPad app, Professor Garfield Cyberbullying and allow your students to read the comics and complete the activities. Don’t forget to allow your students time to connect learning. One example could be: How does good charcter help a person stop cyberbullying? http://itunes.apple.com/app/professor-garfield-cyberbullying/id369171501?ign-mpt=uo%3D6&mt=8
