A serving of Pass the Past please!

Posted on Updated on

We read “George Washington’s Socks” each year to tie into our American Revolution unit. I noticed an American Revolution Resource Pack that might be helpful on Promethean Planet.

Looking forward to reading “Benjamin Franklin Lives!” and creating a Thinking Map to compare the book to a non-fiction genre book also on Benjamin Franklin. The book is a Texas Bluebonnet nominated book for 2013 and the story is about a Benjamin Franklin placed in a box in suspended animation so that he can come back and help in the future!

Also, to add a technology component, I have recently played the free iPod app, “Pass the Past” http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/pass-the-past/id392637590?mt=8 , and you can use it as a fun way to review the American Revolution, or just about any time period studied in the fifth grade curriculum.
